Shabqadar Info

Shabqadar is one of the three Tehsils of Charsadda. Previously a small town of District Charsadda, it was given the status of a Tehsil in July 2005. It is one of the three Tehsils of Charsadda valley occupying the Northwest portion. It is g
eographically located at Latitude: 34.22°N and Longitude: 71.57°E and its population estimated in the 2005 to 66,541. Please bear in mind that this is only an estimate of the number of people in a given city -- actual figures can be obtained from the U.N. and government sources Census by World Gazetteer).

Shabqadar surrounded by hills, rivers and green field. At its west there is a hilly series of Mohmand Agency which's boundaries are attached with our neighbor country Afghanistan. Shabqadar is also a trade center for the people of Mohmand and Bajawarh Agency. The roads go lead to these two agencies from Shabqadar. Hundreds of persons from these agencies are working in this special area for getting money.
At its East is the green areas of Doaba. The people of Doaba are very hard worker. they are basically formers while most of them are doing their services in number of in different government and semi government organizations

River Kabul forms its boundary with Dist Charsadda and District Peshawar. Most of the fields of Doaba are watering by the water of river Swat and and enable the former for agriculture. Where its South is Kabul river which has Warsak Dam. It is the second largest electricity producing dam in Pakistan.Shabqadar has a very unique feature of three main rivers flowing surrounding its terrain. This is the reason that Shabqadar used to be very fertile even before the introduction of irrigation system by the English and agriculture thrived before their arrival. Of the three main rivers, river Kabul forms the boundary between Peshawar and Charsadda. After entering the Peshawar valley near Warsak, the Kabul River divides into many branches all of which except its main tributary flows in Peshawar District. One comes across all these tributaries namely Budhanai, Shah Alam and then the main river Kabul while coming from Peshawar to Charsadda by road. The second major river is river Khiali. This is one of the branches of river Swat. The river Swat after traveling in the hills of Swat and Malakand Agency enters the plains near Munda. It enters Charsadda and after travelling for some distance bifurcates into river Khiali and Jindi. Both these rivers fall into river Kabul near Jungle and chak Nisatta respectively. After Nisatta, there is one mighty river Kabul commonly known as Landai. It seems as though nature has divided these rivers only to make the lands of Shabqadar, Charsadda and Peshawar fertile
